Sorry if this has already been discussed, but current events made me curious about something.
How likely are we to eventually get future patches? I know a lot of people have been concerned about when we get patches, but some posts seem to indicate that every new patch is a negotiation between IMC Games Co.,Ltd. and publisher K2.
I'm just curious as to how this actually works because I wonder if K2 will ever be able to afford updates up to 3.x?
Does the current problem maybe have anything to do with the ability of K2 to provide future patches? How much of this crisis of the Dark Ages is influenced by the financial situation?
Sword of the New World can probably stay afloat, but new content is maybe too expensive? Raiden had mentioned that K2 is NOT worried about profits, but another post indicates that not enough gold purchases could be contributing to the current state of things.
I tell you, it's hard to tell who is putting out BS and who is not. I don't want to ask these questions if it is just a repeat of before, but it is confusing trying to figure out just what the hell is happening to this game. I read the other posts, but it's a pain in the back end to try and filter out what is true or not.
