I've been getting the loading screen when trying to redeem the code for my $30 Target card. I ran into the loading screen delay at various steps through the redemption process. I recently decided to try using my iPhone to redeem the code. This time, the loading screen did not delay but I did receive an error message. But that's not the point of my posting.

Today I simply purchased another $30 Target card to see if this would make a difference. I went through the redemption process completely and received my gold immediately. Obviously, I have submitted a ticket to receive the missing gold (what si due vs what GamersFirst credits).

Please view the screen shot below.

Up until I ran into the loading screen problem, I had only used one Target card in the past so I am not the most well-versed player in this activity. However, after successfully redeeming my new card and looking back at the failed card, I did notice an immediate difference.

When you enter your code to be redeemed, it will validate the number (I tested this with a fake number) and either come back with an error stating that the code is invalid or, if legitimate, it will allow you to then select the account that you would like to apply the credit to.

When using m successful card, it gave me only one option for the Target card - the $30 which I had indeed purchased. The $15 card was no longer visible. When attempting to claim the card that gets stuck on the loading screen, it validates the code, however, it gives leaves both the $30 and the $15 card options.

In short, it means that there is either something wrong with the process in which that specific card was passed over through the Target-to-GamersFirst system or this number was somehow corrupt in some fashion or another. either way, it simply means that the number I was using from the card was being validated as a legitimate card, however, it wasn't being identified as a $15 or a $30 in the system, thus preventing anything from being credited to my account. Because of this error, it could very well have caused a loop in the application process of the credit to the account.

My advice to those who are experiencing this problem would be to return the card to Target unless K2 would be willing to work with each player on an individual basis to ensure that proper credit was given for these problematic cards/numbers.

However, I could be completely off in all of this...it wouldn't be the first time.
